Why this cause matters

Founded in 1952 in Mumbai, the National Association for the Blind (NAB) India is one of India's oldest and largest organisations working for the welfare, education, and rehabilitation of the visually impaired. NAB pioneered the standardisation of Bharati Braille and today runs programmes spanning education, vocational training, employment placement, community-based rehabilitation, and a Braille Press that produces textbooks and literature in multiple languages. Guided by its motto "Serve the Blind," NAB works across India to help visually impaired individuals achieve independence and dignity.
